JAKARTA - One of Indonesian talent have been 'test' by Indonesia Football Association (PSSI). Chairman of PSSI, Edy Rahmayadi accompanied by Secretary General of PSSI, Ade Wellington took time to watch live games Ezra Walian in the exhibition match at the Stadium Atang Sutrisna, Kopassus Complex, Cijantung, Thursday (29/12) afternoon.
Ezra is a Indonesia and Netherlands bloody player. His father, Glen Walian, originally from Manado and her mother, Linda Bos, Netherlands citizen. Today, this 19 year old play in Ajax Amsterdam young team or familiar called Jong Ajax.
"There is no talk of naturalization, still scouting for preparatory phase of Asian Games 2018. Today PSSI only held playing just to find the seeds of players," Edy said as released by pssi.org.
"We still continue to see, and we continue scouting players fit in with the style of Indonesia play and the culture here, including Ezra. Certainly, we're going to play in Sea Games in August, we will be looking for the best players from Sabang to Merauke in order to strengthen U-22 national team," he added.
Ezra originally came to Indonesia for holiday in his hometown, Manado. But before that, he came to Jakarta for invitation PSSI who wants to see his performance. He had played as a striker for 45 minutes in this exhibition match.
Meanwhile, Ezra says do not know when would be an Indonesian citizen (WNI) or naturalized because he is now a Netherlands citizen status.
"I did not say anything about being a citizen today. PSSI asking and wanted to see me first. So far, there has not been process anything," said Ezra.
"From childhood I love Indonesia, I follow the development of Indonesian national team when AFF Cup 2016 yesterday. I hope and always ready to be the Indonesian national team players," he added.
