LONDON - This one of music legend ‘tried to kill himself many times’ and ‘finally managed’ – according to shock claims made on boyfriend’s Twitter account. The tweets and the account have since been removed by the star's boyfriend.
George boyfriend, Fadi Fawaz posted a series of emotional tweets this morning claiming that the Careless Whisper singer killed himself following a number of previous attempts to take his own life.

According to The Sunday Mirror, the tweets, which since appear to have been deleted and his account closed, said: “Not sure who that nasty close friend of George (sic) but i was in a relationship with George Michael till i found him dead in bed.

“The only thing George wanted is to die. He tried numbers of times to kill himself many times and finally he managed.

“We loved each other very much and were together almost 24 hours a day.”

Fawaz used the Twitter account last week to reveal that he found George dead in bed.

He also posted a tribute to the singer. It is not known if his account was hacked.

George, who died on Christmas Day aged 53, had been living an increasingly reclusive life, remaining behind closed doors at either his country pad or his £8million home in Highgate, North London.

Fawaz has not confirmed the shocking claims in person, nor have representatives for the former Wham! singer or the coroner.

The star’s official cause of death remains unclear after a post mortem proved “inconclusive”. Further tests into the tragic pop musician’s sudden death will be needed following investigations.

A statement said: “A Post Mortem examination was carried out yesterday as part of the investigation into the death of George Michael.
