JAKARTA - From beginning, these reggae bands insisted if they wanted to be different from the others. They agree if their music should be universal and not segmented.
"We want all able to get in, just look it, there's no reggae song with rap," said Obin, vocalist and activator of Obin The Flops in Jakarta, recently.
This band also try to polish elements of hip metal, ska and blues in harmonious reggae music. In the middle of this year, Obin The Flops officially launched their debut single titled 'Pasti-Pasti Aja'.
In song which creation by Obin, they took Indonesia hip rock musicians, Berry 'Saint Loco' which certainly gives its own color in the song.
They also use some player for disc jockey (DJ) instruments. The personnel formation is somewhat unique, and certainly increasingly gives new colors for Indonesian reggae music.
Added by Berry 'Saint Loco', in collaboration with Obin The Flops enables him to broaden different music genres.
"In this project, I can explore from different genres, I am also a reggae connoisseur, the result will be interesting," Berry said.
